Senior Connects

We offer both classes and open lab time, where you can ask questions and get one-on-one assistance.
Come join us: Tuesday 2:00 - 5:00 and Wednesday 9:00 - 12:00.
The Senior Connects program provides hands-on training to seniors on using technology, including computers, wireless devices (smartphones, kindles, etc) and tablets.
These classes are small, and participants can spend time using the technology and also getting one-on-one assistance from the instructors. The goal is to help participants determine what they want to use technology for, and how to accomplish the things they want to do.
Examples of the classes include:
  • Computer basics
  • Searching the web
  • Email
  • Skype
  • Social Networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Connecting with communities (Pinterest, Meetup)
  • Connecting with services (library, doctor office)
  • Online dating
  • Streaming media (Pandora, podcasts, radio stations, ex. KQED)
  • Online gaming
We offer open lab times, when people can come by and use the computers in our lab on their own, or with assistance from a staff person.
To register for one or more classes, or to find out specific topics for each day, please call (510) 841-3224. You can also email us to sign up for classes. Drop ins are also welcome.
The Senior Connects program is funded by a generous grant from the Disability Communications Fund of the California Communications Access Foundation.
