Assistive Technology Software
Having the right software on your computer may mean the difference between having a completely unusable computer and having access to all the power of your personal computer system.
For example:
An on screen keyboard may provide an alternate way of typing for a person who cannot use a standard keyboard.
For people with learning differences, many solutions exist to assist with reading, writing and organizing thoughts. Voice Ouput software can read text aloud and provide audio feedback of what is being written.
If a large monitor doesn't make the page easy enough to read, enlarging software can make the full screen (or portions of the screen) large enough to read, and can change the contrast of text to make it readable. Speech output software is also available that can read documents, webpages and pdfs aloud.
